The most improbable of wins, La Liga new comers Hércules defeats Barcelona at the Camp Nou, the Catalan’s home and a place that teams not wearing the Barca shirt lose. Barceloan just doesn’t lose at home. It doesn’t happen. Never mind to a team that was just promoted and by two goals. They don’t lose by two goals either, but it happened. And Nelson Valdez’s two goals are the reason, and he earned those two goals over his long journey from homeless child to international soccer player.

Revs Lose For Third Time in Four Games

FOXBOROUGH, Mass The New England Revolution suffered their fourth loss of the season, their third in four games, at the hands of Chivas USA 4-0 at Gillette Stadium on Wednesday night.

The Revolution (2-4-1, 7 pts.) were unable to overcome a poor first half performance, giving up two goals to Chivas (3-3-1, 10 pts.), and saw midfielder Marko Perovic being sent off with a straight red card.

Chivas (record here) scored their first goal in the 26th minute when a long ball from Chivas goalkeeper Zach Thornton found the feet of Jesus Padilla who finished his chance clinically on net, beating Preston Burpo.
